The purpose of organizing such an evening is to create a better awareness in the students about SRI Lanka. It is a national evening with international participation. National evenings of this sort help us to acquire more knowledge of other cultures and their ways of life. It also creates better understanding among us while working together at IPC.
THE PROGRAM:
An exibition of Sri Lanka arts and crafts, and information on Buddhism.
Tea demonstration.
Sri Lanka dinner, including rice and curry.
Films dealing with Sri Lanka’s culture and nature
A cultural program incl. a performance by The Sri Lanka National Ballet.
Dance – from time to time interspersed with real Sri Lanka drums.
